Why I like Up
Up is a mobile-first Australian bank that I like for its easy-to-use money tools, playful promotions and useful cashback offers. Offers change, but examples in my account have included a chance to receive a weekday morning coffee for free, Friday Happy Hour cashback, A$10 back after spending A$50 or more at Woolworths Online, and retailer discounts or cashback that can be activated in the app. These examples are not permanent benefits and may be targeted, capped or subject to an expiry date, so always check the offer shown in your own Up app before spending.
Referral rules and important conditions
CheapyOZ does not provide a public Up referral code or collect visitors' phone numbers. Up's Hook Up a Mate conditions say invitations are for people the inviter personally knows, including mates, family and close connections. Up may cancel bonuses for excessive or unsolicited invitations, referrals to strangers or public mass-sharing. If someone you personally know invites you, the invitation expires after 14 days and you must complete signup and identity verification using the same phone number that was invited. The standard bonus currently starts at A$15 for each person and increases with the inviter's time as an Up customer, up to A$25; temporary promotions may change the amount.
